{Infrastructure as Code} : Automating deployment of application infrastructure in Azure

No matter if you are developer, devops or an IT pro, at some point you may be confronted with the reality that the growth and use of public cloud computing will compel you to learn how to programmatically deliver infrastructure as code (IaC) in the cloud. From software defined networking and storage to dynamic cloud compute nodes, the infrastructure of your applications will typically be made up of many components that you may want to deploy, manage and monitor as a group.

In this session, Charlie and Dana will discuss how to use Azure Resource Manager and the concept of "ARM templates" to automate the deployment and management of your applications into the Microsoft Cloud. Discussion and demonstration will ensue on how to leverage PowerShell, the Azure CLI and even Visual Studio Team Services (VSTS) to automatically deploy ARM templates to deliver an application in a scalable, reproducible manner.
